About Me
My name is Michaela Gower, I am in my third year studying a Bachelor of Communication, majoring in journalism and minoring in media studies at Massey University.
As I have progressed through my studies I have grown an understanding of both myself and my writing. I have felt more of a need to cover rural stories through a positive light so was born my desire to become a regional reporter.
I have interned with the Hawke's Bay App and the CHB Mail, delivering timely and topical content to the people of Hawke's Bay. Through this experience I have gained valuable skills in hard news and features writing as well as audio and visual news production.
